Abies are evergreen conifers, widespread in Asia, Central America, Europe, North America and North Africa. Often very tall, with spiralled branches bearing flattened, linear leaves. The seed-cones stand upright on the branches unlike Spruces which have pendulous cones. Young cones are very eye-catching, ranging in colours from white, green, blueish violet and a purple red.

Abies procera 'Glauca Prostrata' is a low growing slow to moderate growing beautiful prostate tree with dark silvery blue foliage. It does however sometimes produces a vertical leader so we suggest you prune this off. A Lime Cross Favourite!
