Pinus mugo Ophir is an adorable dwarf mountain pine that forms a compact bun-shaped or globose evergreen specimen. With striking yellow green needles that become more yellow during winter, the shaded part of the plant remains deep green creating prominent contrast. This pine prefers full sunlight, but can be planted on north, south, east or west facing spot either exposed or sheltered. Prefers sand, chalk or loam and always well drained soil. In 20-50 years, this conifer will reach an ultimate height of 0.5-1 metres and 0.5-1 metres ultimate spread.
