‘The Heart of Being’ Retreat Day with Galit Hughes, June 13th 10:30 - 16:00
Take part in a totally unique and enlightening workshop at the end of which you would have created a Mandala with acrylic paints on canvas that tells the story of your inner landscape and hearts desires.
Arriving at Lime Cross Nursery at 10:15 for a 10:30 start, head to the main Lime Cross shop where a member of staff will greet you and show you the way down to the lake.
The day will take you into an inner journey of exploration and discovery of your relationship with freedom, creation, expression and manifestation using meditation, movement and most of all playful and reflective use of acrylic paints on canvas. No painting experience or creative flare is needed only a willingness and readiness to explore and have fun.
During the day you will have the option to plunge into the beautifully clear lake for an invigorating, refreshing and healing swim followed by a warming wood fired hot tub.
At around 1.30 we will enjoy a delicious alfresco brunch buffet by the lake (all dietary requirements catered for) and after lunch you will put the finishing touches on your mandala whilst you enjoy a hot drink and cake.
Please bring with you a 90 cm x 90 cm canvas (or similar size), any acrylic paints and brushes (there will be some to share) and if you have, any colour thick felt tip pen. Also wear/bring comfortable clothes for all weather, swimming suit and towel and something comfortable to sit on the floor while painting.

N.B. - Participants must be confident and capable swimmers, however a lifeguard will be onsite throughout. If you are nervous of wild swimming do let us know so that we can support you. We will ask you to fill out a short health check questionnaire on arrival, but please discuss any health issues or injuries with us so that we can fully support you. We believe that there is no such thing as bad weather and ask that in the event of rain or gloom you arrive prepared with warm clothes, wellies, umbrellas etc. We have some undercover areas available, but the main decked area is open to the elements. This event is subject to bookings so we are unfortunately unable to run the event if we do not get the minimum required number of bookings, however we will provide at least 72 hours’ notice. We will also cancel events if there is a chance of lightning, this might happen quite close to the start time of the event, due to the unpredictability of our UK weather.
