Genus Abies are evergreen conifers, widespread in Asia, Central America, Europe, North America and North Africa. Often very tall, with spiralled branches bearing flattened, linear leaves. The seed-cones stand upright on the branches unlike Spruces which have pendulous cones. Young cones are very eye-catching, ranging in colours from white, green, blueish violet and a purple red.
Details Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery, the frosted blue needles on this miniature plant gives it a big presence in a small garden space. Short wide needles on short shoots form a low, spreading, cushion-shaped plant.
