Taxodium distichum ‘Little Leaf'
Taxodium are tall deciduous trees, narrowly conical in outline with red-brown bark and soft linear leaves colouring well in autumn. A genus of two species of deciduous and semi- deciduous monoecious trees often arising in swampy conditions. The leaves are spirally arranged and needle like.
Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery, Taxodium distichum ‘Little Leaf' is a bizarre yet irresistible swamp cypress cultivar that has caused a “what the heck is that” response on multiple occasions. The upright, loosely branched plants boast thin, amber stems that are cloaked with the cutest, teeny-tiniest deep green leaves you can imagine.
