"Recover & Replenish Retreat" Gentle Yoga informed by the Feldenkrais Method, Saturday 11th June & Saturday 6th August
The session is open to all abilities. Ruth is skilful at adapting to meet individual needs, whilst ensuring everyone in the group feels supported and inspired.
Through gentle movement combined with directed, relaxed attention, you will increase your ease and range of movement, improve your flexibility and coordination, rediscover graceful, efficient movement and re find your natural ability to move, think and feel with spontaneity, joy and ease. What’s not to like!!
The Feldenkrais Method is a safe, gentle approach suitable for people of all ages and abilities. Lessons help you change habitual patterns of posture and self-use and improve your physical comfort. Whether you want to be more comfortable sitting at your computer, playing with your children and grandchildren, re-learn skills and function following an injury or stroke or simply feel more stable and present doing what you love, this respectful approach will give you back more choice, more freedom and more enjoyment.
Arrive at Lime Cross car park at 9:30 am where your host will meet you and show you down to the lake. Please note that there are toilets by the lake, the toilets in the car park are no longer accessible.
Enjoy a freshly brewed coffee or herbal tea, whilst we take you through some admin, including our covid policies.
10:00 -11.30 am, take part in a gentle, nurturing Feldenkrais /Yoga session.
11:30 am: Following a wild swimming safety briefing, take the plunge into the crystal-clear lake for an optional invigorating wild swimming session. Warm up in the heavenly wood fired hot tub, (sessions will be limited to 4 people at a time, water is changed every session).
12:30 pm: Having worked up an appetite you will enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared seasonal lunch served by the lake. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
1:30 pm: Set out on a stroll through the ancient woodland at Lime Cross, discovering history, flora, fauna and alpacas. Discover the newly planted 'Secret Vineyard', and conifer nursery.
14.15-14.45 pm: Relaxing breath awareness to de-stress further.
2:45 pm: Finish the day with homemade cake and glass of 'The Secret Vineyard' sparkling wine or Lime Cross Orchard Apple Juice.

Bio
How we move directly impacts how we think and feel about ourselves. Ruth has been exploring this professionally for over 30 years as a movement specialist. She is a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, Yoga teacher, YogaBirth Senior Tutor and former dancer /choreographer and brings a rich, dimensional approach to working with people. She helps people move with comfort, ease and efficiency and to function better in what they love to do in life.
Ruth is Co-Director of the YogaBirth Training Course, and lectures and teaches on the faculty of the London Yoga Teacher Training Group, preparing the yoga teachers of the future. She loves thinking “outside the box” and believes as we come home to ourselves with kindness and curiosity, change is always possible.
