Henners is one of the UK’s most highly rated sparkling wine, hand made my ex-formula One engineer, Lawrence Warr. Having left Formula One to set up a successful engineering consultancy, Warr started the search for the perfect vineyard site commenced. The ideal combination of soils, aspect, slope, altitude and microclimate was difficult to find. After two years of searching the current site in Herstmonceux, East Sussex was found. It was here Warr planted in 2007 and sort to create a champagne varietal sparkling of the highest quality.
Made from 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Meunier, this classic Champagne blend sparkling is then left to age in the bottle for at least 36 months giving fantastic complexity.
Beautifully clean nose shows ripe pears with sweet pastry. A fine soft mousse evolves on the palate through red pinot fruit leading to a tasted sweet almond finish
