Abies are evergreen conifers, widespread in Asia, Central America, Europe, North America and North Africa. Often very tall, with spiralled branches bearing flattened, linear leaves. The seed-cones stand upright on the branches unlike Spruces which have pendulous cones. Young cones are very eye-catching, ranging in colours from white, green, blueish violet and a purple red.

Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery, Abies Koreana ‘Silberperle’ - Topworked is an exquisite garden gem, with every compact branch decorated with pearls, resinous white buds during autumn and winter. Short, wide and deep green needles, accented with silvery white undersides, add to the plant’s year-round ornamental impact. This
is a miniature version of the original. These small conifers are grafted onto stems to enhance the aesthetics of their shape and play on the plants natural features.
