Mini Bluebell Yoga Retreat, Friday May 6th
Join Kate Gregory for an hour of uplifting yoga in the ancient woodland, surrounded by beautiful bluebells and a wealth of nature, followed by wild swimming in the lake and soaking in the wood fired hot tub. Finish the session by toasting nature with a glass of bubbles from ‘The Secret Vineyard’, or 'Lime Cross Orchard Apple Juice' and a homemade cake tasting board.
Arrive at the Lime Cross at 1:00 pm where your host will meet you, please note that there are now toilets by the lake, the toilets in the car park are no longer accessible.
After running through some admin, including our covid policy, we will head down to the ancient woodland, you will take part in an hour-long yoga class with Kate from 1:30- 2:30 pm. Please wear sturdy footwear and please be aware that the surface of the woodland isn’t completely flat so the class will focus on standing positions. Kate has over 10 years teaching experience and is British Wheel of Yoga 500hrs certified and has taught at the nursery for 6 years now. The class will be uplifting and energising at the same time as accommodating everyone’s capabilities.
The yoga class will finish with a refreshing fruit spritzer to rehydrate by the lake.
2:45 pm: Following a wild swimming safety briefing, take the plunge into the crystal-clear lake for an optional invigorating wild swimming session. Warm up in the heavenly wood fired hot tub, (sessions will be limited to 4 people at a time, water is changed every session).
3:45 pm: End the afternoon with a glass of sparkling wine from ‘The Secret Vineyard’ or Lime Cross Orchard Apple Juice and home-made cake tasting board.
4:15 pm: finish
N.B -
Please do not attend if you any covid symptoms or anyone that you have been in close contact with has tested positive, we will also require participants to carry out a lateral flow test before hand.
Participants must be confident and capable swimmers. If you are nervous of wild swimming do let us know so that we can support you. We will ask you to fill out a short health check questionnaire on arrival, but please discuss any health issues or injuries with us so that we can fully support you. We believe that there is no such thing as bad weather and ask that in the event of rain or gloom you arrive prepared with warm clothes, wellies, umbrellas etc. We have some undercover areas available, but the main decked area is open to the elements. This event is subject to bookings so we are unfortunately unable to run the event if we do not get the minimum required number of bookings, however we will provide at least 72 hours’ notice. We will also cancel events if there is a chance of lightning, this might happen quite close to the start time of the event, due to the unpredictability of our UK weather.
