Chamaecyparis are evergreen trees, usually of narrowly ovoid or columnar outline, with much-branched sprays of small scale-like leaves, and small, globose cones; tiny red male cones are conspicuous in a few cultivars.
Details
Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery. ‘Nana Gracilis’ is a slow-growing evergreen conifer making a medium-sized shrub, irregularly conical in habit, with glossy dark green foliage in short concave sprays. Due to its slow growing habit it would be ideal for a small garden and can be easily pruned in mid-summer.
Soil Type: Normal, heavy clay, light sandy, chalk, loam.
Aspect: Full sun.
Foliage Type: Evergreen.
Foliage Colour: Green needles.
Pot Size: 3 litre.
Ultimate Height: 1.5 - 2.5m.

Growth Rate: 20 - 50 years.
Special Attributes: This evergreen could also be grown in a container for a number of years and would look great on a patio in a sunny position planted up with seasonal bedding to create more interest.
