Juniperus conferta ‘Schlager'
Common Juniper ‘Schlager’.
Juniper is a large genus of fifty three species and occupies a huge ecological and geographical range across the Northern Hemisphere. Junipers can be prostrate or erect, evergreen shrubs or trees with aromatic, scale-like or sharply pointed awl-shaped leaves, and small berries.
Juniperus rigida subsp. conferta 'Schlager' is a lovely carpet forming juniper with a very low habit, a true prostrate, that doesn’t gain too much height . The bright silvery green prickly foliage is a great addition to any garden and a great ground cover plant. This is truly one of the best ground covering conifers and is easy to prune back and keep to the size you like. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
