Thuja occidentalis ‘Golden Smaragd'
Evergreen, monoecious shrubs to tall trees, native to North America, North East China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan from sea level to low montane areas in cool, moist climate zones. The trunk is single or multi-stemmed, often branching from the base, forming a conical or pyramid crown. The beaches are spreading or ascending, occasionally rooting and forming new trunks.
Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery. Thuja Occidentalis ‘Golden Smaragd’ has soft, colourful foliage and a uniform, rounded form. It works well in landscapes that call for intermediate size, reliable form and contrasting colour. Hardy, durable and adaptable to many conditions.
