Photography Competition, judged by Clive Nichols

Whilst this second lockdown restricts our movements some of us are lucky enough to have a garden, balcony, or terrace. In addition to this a lot of us are managing to go for our daily walk in our local area. We therefore decided to organise a photographic competition in celebration of nature. We are hugely honoured to have ‘Britain’s Best Garden Photographer’ Clive Nichols as the judge.

Clive has photographed many of the world's best gardens, including HRH The Prince of Wales's own private garden in Scotland, Lord Rothschild's private garden in Corfu and Lord Heseltine's private garden in Oxfordshire. Clive also visited us to take photos for an article in The English Garden Magazine on conifers & the nursery.  His passion for the subject comes across in every image that he makes.

His work has appeared in hundreds of books as well as in countless magazines, calendars, and brochures. Clive regularly gives master classes in flower and garden photography for The Royal Horticultural Society.

This is a lovely article written about Clive published this week.

All you need to do to enter is email us one photo you have taken yourself that captures an Autumn/Winter nature scene, with a caption of no more than 50 words describing the photo by December 11th, 5pm. We will announce the winner on the 18th of December, the winner will receive a luxury Christmas cream tea box for four people.
