Abies are evergreen conifers, widespread in Asia, Central America, Europe, North America and North Africa. Often very tall, with spiralled branches bearing flattened, linear leaves. The seed-cones stand upright on the branches unlike Spruces which have pendulous cones. Young cones are very eye-catching, ranging in colours from white, green, blueish violet and a purple red.

Abies Koreana ‘Silberperle’ is an exquisite garden feature with every compact branch decorated with pearls - resinous white buds during autumn and winter. Short, wide and deep green needles accented with silvery white undersides add to the plant’s year-round ornamental impact. Due to its slow growing habit this fir is perfect for a small garden or a container. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
