Olives Café is named after Olive Tate who co-founded the nursery with her husband Alan. Olive loved plants and her dogs that she walked in the woods every day, where she’d be looking out for her beloved kingfisher.
Olive's granddaughters Vicky and Helen now co-run the nursery. Kate runs the kitchen, with Jacq managing Front of House and they have a cheerful, dedicated team behind them.
Delicious brunch and lunch is served until 2:30 and afternoon tea and homemade cakes are available from 2:30-4:30.
The daily changing special board explores world cuisine and treasured classics and all our food is lovingly made using local and home-grown produce where possible. The café also caters to vegetarian and vegan diets, with specially tailored menus which change by season.
The café can be extremely busy at weekends so it is advisable to book a table by calling 01323 833229.
