Chamaecyparis is a genus of evergreen conifers in the cypress family Cupressaceae, native to eastern Asia and to the western and eastern margins of the United States. They grow in cool temperate conifer forests, or in mixed conifer-broadleaf forest, from sea level to montane. The name is derived from the Greek khamai (χαμαί), meaning "on the earth", and kuparissos (κυπάρισσος) for cypress.

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Yvonne’ is a slow-growing conifer with soft bold sprays of lemon-yellow new growth which matures to yellow-green with age. It is a fully upright form with a columnar growth habit that makes an attractive individual specimen plant. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
