Picea smithiana 'Sunray'
The spruces are evergreen trees with a single trunk and regular annual tiers of horizontal branches forming a narrow to conical crown. They are found across the northern hemisphere, as a major constituent of the boreal forest above and below the Arctic Circle southwards down the main mountain chains of Europe, North America and Asia.
Picea smithiana 'Sunray' is a rare small spruce with elegant arching branches covered with bright golden-green needles. Best in a sunny position with dappled shade and some shelter from strong winds. Great for winter colour. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
