Thuja plicata 'Goldy'
Evergreen, monoecious shrubs to tall trees, native to North America, North East China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan from sea level to low montane areas in cool, moist climate zones. The trunk is single or multi-stemmed, often branching from the base, forming a conical or pyramid crown. The beaches are spreading or ascending, occasionally rooting and forming new trunks.
Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery. Thuja plicata 'Goldy' foliage is a bright golden colour, so it can be used to add a luminous backdrop to larger borders. An invaluable plant for the winter garden, it adds a touch of warmth when the foliage takes on a richer orange hue as the temperatures drop.
