Abies are evergreen conifers, widespread in Asia, Central America, Europe, North America and North Africa. Often very tall, with spiralled branches bearing flattened, linear leaves. The seed-cones stand upright on the branches unlike Spruces which have pendulous cones. Young cones are very eye-catching, ranging in colours from white, green, blueish violet and a purple red.

Abies veitchii ‘Heddergott’ green glossy needles have brilliant bright white undersides giving the plant the appearance of a winter frost. This dwarf conifer brings character to any garden landscape and due to its dense slow growing habit would be great for a small garden or a container. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
